Cattle traders beaten to death by Indian BSF in Benapole border

Benapole, Nov 15 (UNB) - Two Bangladeshi cattle traders were beaten to death by Indian Border Security Force (BSF) at Dhannokhola border here early Monday. The deceased were identified as Abdul Gaffer, son of Jeraf Gazi of Ashasuni upazila of Satkhira district and Matiar Rahman of the same district.

Local sources said BSF troops of Indian Sut border chased a group of Bangladeshi cattle traders while they were returning to the country along with the cattle from India.

At one stage, BSF men caught the two cattle traders and beat them up mercilessly, leaving them dead on the spot.

Later, BSF left the body of Gaffar in the border area while dragged the body of Matiar into their camp.

A tense situation was prevailing in the area following the incident
