Wiki-releases planned in advance: Iran‎
Iran's President has questioned the recent leaked documents obtained and published by the Wikileaks website, saying the US administration "released" material intentionally.

In response to a question by Press TV on Monday over the whistleblower website's "leaks," President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said "let me first correct you. The material was not leaked, but rather released in an organized way."

"The US administration released them and based on them they pass judgment …. [The documents] have no legal value and will not have the political effect they seek," the Iranian chief executive added at the press briefing in Tehran.

Ahmadinejad stressed that the Wikileaks "game" is "not worth commenting upon and that no one would waste their time reviewing them."

"The countries in the region are like friends and brothers and these acts of mischief will not affect their relations," he added. [www.presstv.ir] FULL STORY

321 more held in country, 100 injured in Khulna
In Khulna, police, in separate drives, held 13 more leaders and workers of BNP at different parts of the city on Sunday night and Monday

In a pre-hartal crackdown on opposition parties, police arrested 231 more activists of BNP and Jamaat-e-Islami in Khulna, Dinajpur, Sylhet, Sherpur, Comilla, Rajshahi, Manikganj, Narayanganj, Kurigram, Kishoreganj and Bogra districts on Sunday night and Monday.


In Khulna, police, in separate drives, held 13 more leaders and workers of BNP at different parts of the city on Sunday night and Monday in connection with Kotwali thana Sub-Inspecter Kazi Rezaul Karim assault case. More than 500 named and unnamed BNP activists have been sued by Kotwali police.


Meanwhile, city BNP president and lawmaker Nurul Islam Manju said police and Jubo League activists attacked their processing at Aswini Kumar Hall, injuring 100 BNP supporters at noon. Jamaat top leaders get bail in 10 more cases
Dhaka, Nov 29 (bdnews24.com) The High Court (HC) has granted bails to five top detained leaders of Jamaat-e-Islami, including its chief and secretary general, in 10 more cases.

The bench of justices Mainul Islam Chowdhury and A K M Abdul Hakim granted the bail appeals on Monday. The same bench on the previous day granted them bails in four cases.


The Jamaat leaders are Matiur Rahman Nizami, secretary general Ali Ahsan Mohammad Mojaheed, executive committee member Delwar Hossain Sayedee and two assistant secretaries general M Kamaruzzaman and Abdul Quader Molla.


The 10 cases were filed with different police stations of the capital in relation to obstruction on police duty, professor Dr Humayun Azad murder case, Uttara conspiracy case and vandalising vehicles.


Barrister Abdur Razzak argued for the Jamaat leaders.


The police on June 29 arrested Nizami, Mojaheed and Sayedee on charges of hurting religious sentiments of Muslims in a case that could ignite political backlash and on July 13 Quader Molla and Kamaruzzaman for their alleged involvement in crimes during the Liberation War in 1971.
