Indian BSF tortures Bangladeshi cattle trader

Satkhira-Indian Border Security Force (BSF) left a Bangladeshi cattle trader seriously injured, severing his two ears and nose in Kalaroa upazila of Sakhira early yesterday.(The Daily Star )

The injured was identified as Isharat Ali Mollik, 27, son of Keramot Ali Mollik of village Chanduira in the upazila.

Locals said BSF arrested him along the Kalanchi border in India while he was returning to Bangladesh with cattle. They tortured him severely till around 3:30am. At one stage, they severed his two ears and nose and left him near the Chanduira border of Bangladesh.

Isharat Ali was rescued and rushed to Satkhira Sadar Hospital by the local people around 5:00am, they added.

Later, he was shifted to Khulna 250-bed hospital as his condition deteriorated, hospital sources said.
